Recently Melanie placed 2nd overall at the 2003 Canadian Championships (1st
in Vault, 1st in Uneven Bars and 1st in Floor).
Melanie trains at the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre where she is coached by Tobie Goreman and Lori Iurello.
Melanie has an older sister, Natalie, and a twin brother Eric who is also a gymnast. Eric finished 11th all-around at the 2000 Canadian Championships in the Under-16 category.
Her parents are Christine and Gerry.
