"Every year, we strive to surpass the previous year" said Festival Chair Chris Savard. "I think we have certainly achieved that goal this year with three top-notch popular acts. We will also have a bigger stage to better showcase our headliners, opening acts and local bands."

In addition to a midway, kidzone, fireworks other events, Lift-Off will also host the Ontario Strongman Championships. Two days of competition will see the strongest men vying to qualify for the Canadian Strongman Championships later this summer.

The success of the Cornwall Lift-Off festival has grown considerably from its modest beginnings in 1994. It is Ontario's only hot-air balloon festival, and this year 25 hot air balloon teams will fly over the city. This year's festival will be held July 8-11th in Cornwall's downtown Lamoureux Park, and it is anticipated that the 2010 festival will attract significantly more than the 50,000 spectators who attended the 2009 event.
