Local author launches new book
Local author and Team Cornwall member, Betty Healey, recently released her third book entitled “Me First – If I Should Wake Before I Die”.
The book , inspired by a memory of a child’s prayer was conceived through the reflection that maybe the phrase “If I should die before I wake” should really have read“If I should wake before I die”. In the book the author introduces readers to a new concept which she calls selfness. Written in Healey’s usual conversational style, the book leads the reader on a journey of self discovery and transformation.
This project has been locally produced using talent from SD & G including Tracey Lynn Chisholm of Serenity Studio, Candice Nixon of Melting Pot Studio, Wendy Grant from Cornwall City Press among others.
Mrs. Healey is an award wining author who has also penned roadSIGNS – Travel Tips for Authentic Living (2003) and roadSIGNS 2 – Travel Tips to Higher Ground (2006).
The Book Me First – If I Should Wake Before I Die can be purchased at Friends of the Library Bookstore located in the Cornwall Public Library, Laura’s Flowers and Gifts, Café Connectionz and 2 Beans Café in Alexandria
