Graham Greer Releases New Self-Titled CD

Team Cornwall member Graham Greer, the former front man for the popular 1990's band Barstool Prophets, has released his second solo CD. The CD is titled "Graham Greer".

The CD features 10 songs of catchy melodies and story-telling lyrics that cover a variety of themes such as fidelity, broken relationships and the environment. Music from the opening track, Buttercup, has already been used in a commercial for the City of Cornwall.

"The songs on this CD collectively represent the best work that I have done", said Graham Greer. "I've been introducing the songs to live audiences for several months now, and the reaction has been very positive."

The CD is self-titled and produced by veteran American producer Joe Hardy, who has previously produced albums by ZZ Top, Steve Earle and Tom Cochrane. Mr. Hardy was assisted in the production room by Todd Huckabone and Graham Greer.

Mr. Hardy also previously produced Graham Greer's first solo CD in 2003, Palookaville, where Graham has performed under the name Moonlight Graham. A review for Palookaville praised its "deep, witty and intelligent lyrics that capture the classic struggles of the everyday" (CDBaby.com).

The new CD is now available online on iTunes, and copies can be ordered online through mymusic.ca, HMV.ca and Amazon.ca. Copies can also be picked up in person at CD Warehouse in Ottawa and at all Chapters/Indigo and HMV outlets Canada-wide.

"It is important that people can access the music as easy as possible", said Graham Greer. "I'm excited to have the CD on iTunes and other online sites for those fans who prefer digital downloads. "

He will be touring extensively to promote the new CD with Todd Huckabone (guitar) and Steph McAlear (percussion) as the Graham Greer Trio.

Mr. Greer is being represented by Joanne Setterington (Indoor Recess, Toronto) for publicity.

Graham is a member of Team Cornwall and recently headlined two major Cornwall events: the ARTpreneur conference in 2008, and the Mayor's Celebration of the Arts in 2009. He can be found online at GrahamGreer.com and on Facebook.
