Cornwall Living Magazine Hits the Streets
Cornwall Living - a new magazine profiling life and business in Cornwall and region - is now available to people looking to learn more about Cornwall. The 52-page glossy magazine is produced by the Seaway News.
“The benefits of living in Cornwall and the surrounding area is something that we sometimes take for granted”, said Rick Shaver, Team Cornwall member and General Manager and Publisher of the Seaway News. “We wanted to showcase the positive attributes of the City, so that others can understand why we are so big on the area”.
One of the feature stories in the magazine is about the chefs and restaurants in the area. It follows five chefs as they prepare their meals, and readers quickly get the message that you can find world-class dining in the area. The story is supported by a feature on the ChooseCornwall.ca website, where you can download recipes from the featured chefs.
Other stories showcase waterfront living in Cornwall, South Stormont and South Glengarry, and all feature bright, bold photographs. News about local business success stories, a feature on the arts and another story about the changing multi-cultural make-up of the community are other highlights.
The magazine is expected to be a popular addition to the information packages that Cornwall Economic Development sends out to business and residential investors. The City Department will be mailing a copy to a wide variety of key offices, including every Canadian Consulate.
“The magazine is popular as it is seen to be an objective portrayal of our community”, says Bob Peters, Senior Development Officer with the City of Cornwall. “The photographs and stories in the magazine are interesting, and help to convince people that Cornwall is worth a closer look”.
A copy of the magazine can be requested by filling out the request form on the Choose Cornwall website.
This year marks the 15th year that the Seaway News has published a quality publication that carries a strong positive message on doing business and living in Cornwall and area. The magazine is supported by over 20 progressive local business and organizations.
