Business Retention and Expansion Program
Cornwall Economic Development is launching a program aimed at finding out exactly what issues are the most important to Cornwall's Business Community.
Assisted by funding from the Province of Ontario, the Business Retention and Expansion Program (BR+E) has proven methodology that uses detailed surveys to assess the current business climate, with a long-term goal of improving the community’s competitive advantage.
A project co-ordinator will be hired to oversee the efforts of volunteer surveyors who will interview local businesses in two sectors: retail and manufacturing. Additional sectors may be added to the survey at a later date.
In addition to the Ontario Ministry of Ariculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the project is being supported by several local organizations and offices, including the Heart of the City, Le Village, Chamber of Commerce, Team Cornwall and Employment Ontario.
