Dr. David Foot To Speak

Dr. David Foot will be speaking at Aultsville Theatre on November 8th at 10:00 am.

Renowned speaker Dr. David Foot will be speaking to Cornwall community and business leaders on the power of population and Cornwall's changing demographic profile. The event will take place on November 8th at Aultsville Theatre, and is sponsored by Cornwall Economic Development and Employment Ontario.
Dr. Foot is a Professor of Economics at the University of Toronto and is the co-author of the Boom, Bust & Echo series of best-selling books. Dr. Foot’s research into the power of populations and the resulting implications for both private and public decision making has won him accolades and awards.
Dr. Foot is expected to address the following topics:
- What should local business owners be planning for with respect to finding available labour in the next two decades?

What effect will demographics have on marketing products and services to an aging population in Canada?

What plans should community leaders make with respect to addressing the changing needs of the population?
Dr. Foot will speak at 10:00 on Thursday November 8th at Aultsville Theatre.
The event is not open to the general public, however people can contact Cornwall Economic Development should they wish to attend. The event is expected to sell out, with confirmed attendance already over 250. Dr. Foot will speak again at 2:00pm at an event restricted to students and faculty of St. Lawrence College.
